Reducing latency by 63% in production
Replaced a queue-based architecture with deterministic routing. 14 days implementation, 4.2M daily requests.
The Problem
A legacy support pipeline was running on a FIFO queue with 450ms median response time. Under peak load, it climbed to 2.1s, blocking downstream automation.
Architecture Change
We replaced the queue layer with a deterministic routing engine backed by a priority graph. Each request is classified, routed, and executed within a formal state machine.
Result
Median latency dropped to 167ms — a 63% reduction. P99 capped at 420ms.
Implementation took 14 days end-to-end.
